This eye exercise gives instant results – try it

Here is an excellent eye exercise to alleviate the

strain on your eyes caused by long periods of time

wearing  contact lenses or being at the computer.

 

Eye rolls

Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Exhale.

Slowly rotate your eyes in a complete circle. First

rotate in a clockwise direction, three times. Then

repeat in an anti-clockwise direction, three times.

 

These simple movements will improve the flow of

blood and oxygen to your eyes and refresh them.

You will feel the difference immediately. Try it!

 

There are other exercises to ease the damage done

to your eyes by environmental factors or aging.

 

Computer strain, myopia, short sight, astigmatism,

Soap & Sensitive Areas

Over the years, I have found that many people aren’t
aware that soap should not be used to clean the
vaginal opening, the tip of the penis (urethral
opening), and the anal sphincter.

Regularly applying soap to these areas can cause the
mucosal lining in these areas to become dry and
unhealthy.  A chronically dry mucosal lining can lead
to a number of uncomfortable health conditions, the
two most common ones being chronic inflammation and a
tendency to experience infections.

If you use soap to clean your body, you should limit
its contact to your skin.  Your skin is lined with
sebaceous glands that secrete an oily substance called
sebum, which serves to keep your skin waterproof and
resistant to infection by undesirable microorganisms.

Typically, the presence of sebum prevents soap from
drying out skin to a point where significant health
challenges can arise.  Still, unless you work with
grease and oil, it’s best to use soap sparingly - just
enough to remove objectionable odours and to feel clean
and refreshed.

The mucosal linings of the vaginal opening, the penile
opening, and the anal sphincter don’t secrete sebum to
offer protection against the drying effects of soap.
Actually, the labia minora does contain some sebaceous
glands but, in most women, there aren’t nearly enough
sebaceous glands in this region to keep the vaginal
opening healthy if regularly washed with soap.

So how do you wash the vaginal opening, the penile
opening, and the anal sphincter?  Ideally, with warm
or hot water.  And when more intense cleaning is
desired, you can use warm or hot salt water.

I’ve worked with enough people who have experienced
health challenges from using soap in the private areas
to know that this advice is worth heeding.  Please
share this information with family and friends, as my
experiences have led me to believe that most people
aren’t aware of this issue.

Cataract, a condition in which the lens of the eye turns cloudy, has long been the most common cause of blindness in the world. Five Vision Strengthening Foods

Here are five foods that are good for your vision.

EGG YOLKS

 

Egg yolks are the best source of lutein, a yellow-hued antioxidant. Lutein is especially important for its ability to protect against cataracts and macular degeneration.

 

Lutein (along with zeaxanthin, another carotenoid) forms the yellow pigment of your retina and absorbs blue light, a harmful component of sunlight, says Dr. Andrew Weil, M.D.

Researchers also think that lutein’s antioxidant actions help to protect your eyes from light-induced oxidative damage.

 

Lutein is also found in vegetables, especially green leafy ones, but eggs are an important source.

Those who ate eggs as their lutein source had blood levels of lutein that were about three times higher than that of those who ate other lutein sources.

 

The researchers suspect that other components in the egg yolk, such as lecithin, are responsible for its superior absorbability by our body.

 

BRAZIL NUTS

 

One Brazil nut contains 120 mcg of selenium, which is about twice the Recommended Daily Allowance.

Selenium’s antioxidant activity fights free radicals that can damage your eye’s lens and macula at the center of your retina. This antioxidant property may help prevent cataracts and macular degeneration.

 

BLUEBERRIES

 

Blueberries contain anthocyanins. These are potent antioxidants that give fruits their red and purple color.

Blueberries can help to prevent age-related damage and improve blood flow to your eyes.

Cherries, red grapes, pomegranates, red cabbage, and beets also contain high levels of anthocyanins.

 

 

SALMON

 

Salmon and other oily fish like sardines, herring, and black cod are rich in omega-3 fats. A research study from Harvard Medical School found that people who eat fish twice a week, while avoiding unhealthy fats

like trans fats, have less than half the risk of developing macular degeneration as people who do neither.

Omega-3 fats help protect light-sensing cells, and are linked to a lower risk of cataracts.

 

PAPAYA

 

One serving of papaya will give you close to a three-day supply of vitamin C, which is one reason why papaya has been found to protect against macular degeneration. According to a 2001 study by the

National Institutes of Health, people with macular degeneration could slow the disease by getting 500 mg of vitamin C, 400 IU of vitamin E, and 80 mg of zinc every day.

 

BROCCOLI

 

Broccoli contains sulforaphane, a cancer-fighting compound that is also a powerful antioxidant.

According to researchers at Johns Hopkins University, human retinal cells treated with sulforaphane were protected from oxidizing free radicals for several days.

Other cruciferous veggies like cabbage, kale, mustard greens and turnips are also rich in sulforaphane.

 

So do try and include some, or all, of the above foods in your daily diet.
