Body Language for Sticky Situations

Posted by youngaga On June - 24 - 2007Comments Off
Having trouble saying ‘No’ to a sexual advance because you just don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings? Well it may now be easier than you thought! Your body language and posture can indicate ‘Not interested’, without you using any form of verbal communication.
Researchers have found that there are postures and ways of moving that are gender-specific and they claim that following these postures can attract your repel the opposite sex. For instance, if a woman adopts a ‘mannish’ pose she will repel advances. Similarly, if a man takes up a feminine stance he will cease to be attractive to the normal female.
In a recently published article, women were advised to stand with arms akimbo, parallel feet and flat tummy in situations they perceived as unwanted sexual advances - while men in similar situations were asked to stand with arms crossed over the tummy, asymmetrical feet and protruding tummy.
I can’t really guarantee that this would be the best way to get out of a sexually sticky situation

Carrot & Herbs Soup will Soup up your Eyes

Posted by youngaga On June - 20 - 2007Comments Off
That’s right! Putting this soup on your menu will certainly help you get some of the anti-oxidants you need to keep your eyes healthy & your vision clear.

All you need are 1 lb. carrots (chopped), 1 sweet potato (chopped), 2 onions (chopped), a handful fresh coriander (chopped), 6 cloves garlic (chopped), 8 cups of vegetable stock (water will also do), 1 tbsp vegetable oil, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp cumin powder, salt & cayenne pepper to taste.

Brown onions in oil. Add garlic, coriander & cumin powders & continue cooking for a minute. Add the carrot & sweet potato & cook for another couple of minutes. Add stock/water & bring to boil. reduce heat to simmer & allow to cook for 20 minutes, or till the vegetables are done. Add salt, cayenne & coriander leaves.  Puree in a  blender. You can vary the consistency to your taste by adding more stock.
And there you have it - a wonderfully nutritious carrot & fresh herbs soup  & with a ‘Cordon Bleu’ touch.

Breath Test Diagnosis for Lung Cancer?

Posted by youngaga On June - 16 - 2007Comments Off

A new method of diagnosing lung cancer - through analysis of exhaled breath - is under investigation by researchers and doctors! The scenario - donors breathe into a chilled tube which collects the water droplets produced through condensation. The droplets are then tested for DNA to determine whether the donor has any signs of lung cancer. This investigative method would certainly make diagnosis simpler, but can be used only for suspected lung cancer.

For Pet Lovers with Arthritic Pets

Posted by youngaga On June - 14 - 2007Comments Off

We just have to pass this information on to all dog lovers who agonize, like our friend, over the pain experienced by arthritic pets.

Leo, a friend’s 12-year old dog, a Jack Russel Terrier, was having a bad time walking due to severe arthritis. The vet suggested an arthritis formula which our friend initially regarded with suspicion, but eventually decided to try. The medication is a liquid formula called Synflex. It seemed to work fabulously, and within 2-3 days. Where Leo could barely walk earlier, he was almost running with the other younger dogs within a week.

It seems Synflex can be used for all pets, and works for humans too (but the strength of the formulation may be different).

Cataracts - Natural Treatment

Posted by youngaga On June - 10 - 2007Comments Off

Here is a classification of the most common types of cataracts.
CLASSIFIED BY CAUSE OF CATARACT:
Age-related cataract: Immature Senile Cataract (partially
opaque lens, disc view hazy); Mature Senile Cataract(fully
opaque lens, no disc view); Hypermature Senile Cataract(liquid
cortical matter & known as Morgagnian Cataract)
Congenital Cataract: Sutural cataract; Lamellar cataract;
Zonular cataract ; Total cataract
Secondary cataract: Drug-induced cataract (e.g. Corticosteroids)
Traumatic cataract: Blunt trauma (capsule usually intact);
Penetrating trauma (capsular rupture and leakage of lens
material - calls for an emergency surgery
CLASSIFIED ACCORDING TO LOCATION OF OPACITY WITHIN LENS:
Anterior cortical cataract; Anterior polar cataract;
Anterior subcapsular cataract; Posterior cortical cataract;
Posterior polar cataract (higher risk of complication as
posterior capuslar can tear during surgery); Posterior
subcapsular cataract (clinically common)
CLASSIFIED ACCORDING TO HARDNESS (NUCLEUR CATARACT)
(the harder the cataract the more difficult it is to remove)
 1 - Grey;  2 - Yellow; 3 - Amber; 4 - Brown/Black
AFTER  CATARACT: Opacification can occur subsequent to a
successful cataract surgery (usually within 3 months - 2 years)
Ethos AG’s research findings on the topical application of
carnosine drops for the treatment of cataracts has been most
encouraging (to put it mildly).
Their findings indicate that carnosine gives a profound
effect on primary senile cataract, with 100% effective rate.
For mature senile cataract, the effective rate is 80%.
Positive effects were found also with other types of cataract.
It is significant that no side effect has been found in the
observed cases.

Life Changing Information

Hello there!

As you are probably aware, we have devoted
our website http://www.youngagainforever.com
to introducing you to some really wonderful natural techniques
that you would definitely benefit from.

Here is an important one. It will have a very positive
impact on your life!

You already know the importance of mind control and how it
affects the quality of your life, your successes and
failures …

Well, let me introduce you to Mike Brescia. He is someone
you should get to know because he can teach you to take
control of your life fast!

He’s the founder of a company called Think Right Now!

http://www.youngagainforever.com/personal_development.html

The work he does is in the field of behavior modification.

That’s why I want you to know him. His name is Mike
Brescia. And he is brutally honest so do read his rather
lengthy message in its entirety!

His ground-breaking research on the mind is helping
thousands of people to experience emotional and behavioral
changes that they’ve never been able to achieve before. Not
with therapy, not with training seminars, how-to books,
equipment, and not with patches, powders or pills.

Enough from me - I’ll let Mike introduce himself to you.

Jay Chatterjee
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hello,

Yes, I am Mike Brescia. You may have heard of me. It’s not
difficult, because my web site is the most well traveled
personal development product site on earth.

The changes our mental conditioning programs make in people
are often miraculous. Jaw dropping. They’ve done their
magic in situations where absolutely nothing else has
helped.

It’s even more amazing, since 17 years ago I was in a place
that I never want to be again… living in a vehicle. I
was, in every way, a bum. A drunk. Lazy as the day is long.
I got fired from MANY $5/hr jobs. I didn’t have any real
friends - just party buddies.

I tried to change, it seemed, hundreds of times.

But my habitual emotions, attitudes and my addictive
behaviors controlled me. My will was nothing compared to
the heavy chains of my life-long habits.

But in the Spring of 1987, I chanced upon some ground-
breaking information in the book, Superlearning.

It chronicled the development of an effortless learning
method called Suggestopedia by its creator, Georgi Lozanov.

This effortless teaching method uses 60 beat per minute
music to help induce a calm stress-fr`ee mental state, and
the repeating of each new piece of data three times in a
special way.

The effect it has on people is similar to the way a CD-ROM
installs a software program on a computer… it inserts
information in a way that gives you a genuine knowing deep
inside. The material literally gets inside of you.

This effortless “teaching” method has made the words
‘Accelerated Learning’ known around the world.

Back in 1987, I wondered, since people were learning
languages, science and math formulas and historic events
(facts) in record time, why couldn’t I use this simple way
of delivering information to teach me the attitudes and
beliefs of the people who were the best at what I wanted to
do. Judging by the results it was having in a variety of
learning environments, it didn’t seem far-fetched to me.

I wanted to be able to earn a living in the sales
profession, (I hadn’t made a sale in 2 years). So I
borrowed some tape recorders and created some audio tapes
using books on sales, business and general positive
thinking as my guide.

To make a long story short, I got a sales job…

And I quickly sold my way out of the job (they ran out of
inventory).

So I got another sales job, and became the highest paid
sales executive in the world in that industry.

Next industry… same story. I built the biggest business
of it’s kind in the entire world.

Next industry… Personal Development (offering tools like
the ones that changed me).

Again, because the dramatic changes our behavior
modification “Success Conditioning” programs produce in
people, it’s the #1 most visited site online to help change
things about you that nothing else has been able to achieve.

I tell you that story, not to brag, but to inspire you.

You see, it’s the effortless teaching method of installing
new automatic, programmed mental patterns that is the star,
not me.

The claims on my web site are bold, dramatic…

Almost unbelievable.

But all true.

And to prove the claims, I’ve recently started interviewing
our customers for an audio newsletter called “You’re
Telling Me!”

In “You’re Telling Me!” you’ll hear people from all over
the world tell remarkable stories of change… change so
amazing, if you didn’t hear it from their own mouths, you
wouldn’t believe it.

On our web site you’ll hear people tell me…

==> How they’ve ended their chronic depression and panic
attacks and gotten off all their medications just by
playing a single $20 audio tape while they sleep.

==> How they are using a specific Think Right Now! program
to increase their sales income by 2, 3 and even 8 times.

==> How they’ve eliminated their allergies and saved all
those co-pays.

==> How simple and easy it was to quit sm*king even after
20, 30 and even 40 years when nothing else stopped the
cravings.

==> How they’ve lost 40, 50, 60+ pounds almost effortlessly
(without pills, powders or shakes), even though they’ve
been overweight their entire lives.

==> How they’ve overcome eating disorders like bulimia by
using a $20 Think Right Now! audio program.

You’ll even hear me interview a 65 year old man who is
using one Think Right Now! program to become the oldest man
ever to swim the English Channel!

And if you have some issues that cause you frustration,
stress, anxiety and years of failure, I encourage you
(don’t make me beg!) to learn more about these effective
yet easy to use programs now.

Go to the site and listen to an interview. They’re amazing!
And sign up to get new interviews emailed to you every week.

If you are failing in some area of life and must change…

Then I just may have the answer for you.

So whatever challenges or pain you have, please don’t wait
any longer.

To learn more, go to:

http://www.youngagainforever.com/personal_development.html

If nothing else, if you go to the site now, you’ll learn
why you do the things you do and why it’s been so hard to
change the things you want to change.

If there are inner and outer successes you desire, but
haven’t been able to achieve them, please learn about our
programs now.

You will find nothing like them anywhere.

And all our Accelerated Success Conditioning programs come
with an unconditional 6 month satisfaction guar*ntee. So
you’ve got success, achievement and happiness to gain and
absolutely nothing to l*se except your fears, inhibitions
and limitations.

And remember, while you’re on the site, sign up for “You’re
Telling Me!”

It WILL inspire and convince you that greatness IS within
you!

All the best!

Your new friend and partner in change,

Mike Brescia

Computer Eyesight Syndrome

Posted by youngaga On June - 9 - 2007Comments Off

Welcome back!
As Roshmi and I have always maintained, we feel responsible
for bringing the most important natural health information
to our subscribers to ensure their perfect health – good teeth,
perfect vision, emotional balance, long lasting youth and
other health aspects.
Once we communicate this information, the rest is up to you.
We expect you to act on the information if the circumstances fit.
This message also relates to your eyesight. You probably use
a computer and, if so, please read this carefully.

We have prepared an information course on cataracts, because
it is a very common affliction, especially as you age.
You can sign up for the ten part complimentary course on
aging vision at
http://www.youngagainforever.com/cataracts.html
There is no cost to you.

One of the most common requests we get is for information about
PC use and vision. And it’s no wonder-almost all of us use a
computer at least once in a while, and many of us sit in front
of the magic box all day! In fact, the University of Iowa’s
Christine Sindt, O.D., estimates that Computer Vision
Syndrome- or the “complex of eye and vision problems related
to near work that are experienced during or related to
computer use” as the American Optometric Association defines
CVS - affects 75% of the people who work on computers, most
markedly those over the age of 40.

If you’ve experienced any of the 14 symptoms listed below,
you’ll want to read on for information on how to combat CVS.

The American Optometric Association’s 14 Symptoms of
Computer Vision Syndrome

1. tired eyes
2. eyestrain
3. sore eyes
4. periodic blurred near vision
5. occasional blurred distance vision
6. headaches
7. dry eyes
8. slowness in changing the focus of your eyes
9. red eyes
10. burning eyes
11. contact lens discomfort
12. changes in color perception
13. glare sensitivity
14. excessive tearing

Obviously, the easiest way to prevent CVS is to stop using
the computer! But, as that is simply not an option for the
millions of us (including this writer) who make a living
performing computer-related tasks, here are 5 tips to help
you monitor your natural monitors: your eyes.

1. Make sure your workstation, whether on the job or at home,
is set up ergonomically.
“Ergonomics” is just a fancy way of saying “Being kind to
your body.” But as we know, being good to your body every
day will benefit you in the long run. Repositioning your monitor
is an easy and effective way to avoid awkward head or eye-
movements. As Dr. Ergo (aka Dr. James Sheedy) notes on his
Web site, “Because the eyes lead the body, your body will
assume whatever position is required to enable your eyes
to see comfortably. A poorly located computer screen causes
awkward body positions.” He notes that a viewing distance
of 20-28 inches is most common.
He also says that the center of the computer screen should
be 4-9 inches below your eyes, because your eyes work best
with a slight downward gaze. Your computer screen and other
work (and your phone, if that’s part of your office) should
be located straight in front of you so that you don’t have
to look sideways or twist your body or neck to see them.

2. Eliminate glare in your work area
Glare is an all-too-common cause of eyestrain and eye fatigue.
Modifying your office lighting will eliminate glare and harsh
reflections. First, find the source of the glare: Is it coming
from a window, task light, or the screen itself (see #3 below)?
If possible, remove the offending source of light. Adjust blinds
or curtains to minimize sunlight. Turn down overhead lights so
that the brightness of the screen and the surrounding room are
balanced. Do not, however, work in the dark: the contrast
between computer-generated light and lack of background light
strains the eyes. Task lights should be positioned to provide
direct light for reading and other office work, but should not
shine directly on the computer or in your eyes. You may need
to use a low-wattage bulb.
You may also need to move your desk so that bright overhead
lights or windows are not in your field of view. The best
position for your desk is directly to the side of a
window/overhead light. That way you can still enjoy some natural
light without glare (caused by brightness in front of your field
of vision) or reflections (caused by brightness behind you).
Another option is to use a monitor glare hood, or better yet,
a screen. Look for anti-reflection screens that have been
approved by the American Optometric Association.

3. Adjust your screen
Dr. Ergo notes, “Optimal contrast and visibility are attained
with black characters on a white background. However, other
combinations can be comfortable so long as the brightness
contrast between the characters and the background is high. It
is best to avoid dark backgrounds.”
You can also adjust your brightness/contrast controls, and use
a larger text size, as display legibility is an important factor in
visual performance. For most, the size of the text should be
three times the size of the smallest text you can read.
An article on “Flat-Panel Monitors Versus CRTs” in the magazine
PC World says that “flat panel (LCD) displays have visual
advantages compared to cathode ray tube (CRT) displays.
They do not flicker and the contrast is typically higher.”
And because CRTs deteriorate gradually over time, you may not
even realize that the picture you are looking at today is not
the same one you were looking at five years ago when you
bought the monitor-although this deterioration may be causing
your CVS symptoms. Consider an upgrade.

4. Take a break
It’s easy to lose track of time at the computer. Always
remember the 10-10-10 rule and at the very minimum take a
break at least once an hour for about 10 minutes and blink
frequently — video display use is associated with a decreased
frequency of blinking. (And a computer break is a perfect
excuse to perform your Vision for Life eye exercises.)
Computer use can also cause an increased rate of tear
evaporation.

5. Stay healthy
Although you can relieve dry, itchy eyes with artificial tears
from the drugstore or supermarket, it’s best not to rely on
them.
A better way to prevent dryness is to stay hydrated with good
old-fashioned H2O. Of course, eating your beta-carotine-rich
foods is always good for maintaining eye health, and a
Japanese study suggests that supplementation with the amino
acid taurine appears to alleviate vision fatigue. Contact lens
wearers may want to switch to glasses during PC work, as
contact lenses themselves can cause dry eyes.

The Vision Defense Free Software Saves Eye Damage

Posted by youngaga On June - 7 - 2007Comments Off
Near-point activities like computer use and reading are reported by the American Optometric Association as being one of the leading causes of vision loss.

Not only can computer use cause dry eyes, headaches, and blurry vision, it can also cause permanent vision damage.

Luckily there are a few simple habits that you can perform throughout your day that can prevent these problems and further vision loss.

But remembering to constantly perform these simple habits (like the “10-10-10″ rule) throughout your busy day is extremely challenging.

That’s why I highly recommend that you use the new eye-care software I found – it’s called “Vision Defense Software.” It reminds you to perform these simple tasks throughout your day while at your computer.

The Vision Defense Software is fully customizable to the way you work. It installs on your computer in just a couple minutes and it’s extremely simple to use. If you can open your email, you can use this software.

Best of all, we’re giving it away to our readers and visitors completely free - no strings attached. Seriously, there’s no catch.

Because if just a fraction of the world’s computer addicted population used this software there would be a reduction of vision problems in mass proportions.

So download your free Vision Defense Software asap

Drink Tea for Daily Dietary Antioxidants

Posted by youngaga On June - 6 - 2007Comments Off
After water, tea is the most drunk beverage in the world - more popular even than beer or wine. And, in a rare reversal of an old adage (I’m referring here to the one that says that everything one enjoys is either a sin, health-destroying or fattening), tea has been recognized for its role in maintaining good health.

The three varieties of teas - green, black and oolong,  which are naturally packed with antioxidants, have been officially recognized by Health Canada’s Natural Health Products Directorate (NHPD) as a source for dietary antioxidants. As we all know, antioxidants are compounds that neutralize the body’s naturally occurring, but cell-damaging, free radical molecules. Antioxidants also help to maintain and support cardiovascular health. In addition, tea has been recognized for heightening alertness, while green tea extract has been approved to complement weight management programs.

Dr. Carol Greenwood, professor of nutritional sciences at the University of Toronto, has been quoted extensively in the media, “We can use our beverages, as well as, foods to get our antioxidants and tea is a rich source of (it),….These oxidation reactions that occur in the body can be damaging to many tissues, including blood vessels,…so the higher the antioxidants we would naturally have in our diet, the more likely we are able to protect our blood vessels from damage…”

This is certainly good news for people like us who, since the early teens, were woken up with a cup of tea served in bed (though times have changed since!!), and still hanker for afternoon tea at 4 o’ clock. But not any or every tea can quench our thirst for this special beverage - we only drink special estate teas

The Decision Aid Tool for Pregnant Women

Posted by youngaga On June - 6 - 2007Comments Off

Giving birth through the vagina (natural childbirth) is one of the most ‘natural’ processes that exist, yet a great many women are opting to circumvent it for a number of reasons. Some women are apprehensive, and wishing to avoid the pain and trauma of prolonged labour, they choose to have a Caesarean section. Many women opt to have the operation because the time of delivery can be more accurately planned…. one of the fallouts of today’s schedule-obsessed lifestyle when even the most basic of natural processes has to be slotted into an organizer! However, there are many opinions against this procedure which has rapidly gained in popularity. Doctors warn that while it may be medically necessary to perform a Caesarean in certain cases, it is a major operation and carries risks for both mother and child. Women who undergo Caesareans take longer to recover than those who give birth naturally, and may be more prone to bleeding, and even to infertility.

So, pregnant women will welcome the discovery of the “decision aid tool”! This is a computer programme that helps women decide the most appropriate procedure for them. After analysing answers to various questions, it is the computer which recommends whether a natural or surgical procedure is the safest option.

Dead Skin Cells Contribute A Billion Tonnes to Atmospheric Dust

Posted by youngaga On June - 3 - 2007Comments Off
It was reported in the media that our skin sheds 50,000 dead cells every minute, and that a billion tonnes of dust in the atmosphere is accounted for by dead skin.
We hate to suggest any course of action that would add more particulate matter to the already highly-polluted atmosphere. But in this case, we have no option. Shedding dead skin cells is the only way for new skin cells to grow and renew. Its a tough decision - Cleaner Atmosphere or Younger Looking Skin?

The ‘S Swing’ & Exercise for Senior Golfers

Posted by youngaga On June - 1 - 2007Comments Off
Once we are able to cross the mental barrier of retirement its benefits become obvious; the extra time being one. Sadly, we may not always be able to capitalize on the extra time we have to ourselves because we are not as physically agile as we used to be. With age our muscles lose some of their strength and flexibility, but do we have to give up all the plans we had made for the retirement years?
For instance, a bunch of our friends are passionate golfers, who sought out every spare minute to hit the golf course. Many of them are now losing their enthusiasm- despite the extra time they have- and its because they win less often.
For most aging golfers the primary area that lets them down is the back. Young golfers can rotate their upper body 90 degrees and lower body 45 degrees to achieve maximum power in their swing and generate club-head velocity. As we age the muscles used to perform these movements lose their flexibility and are not able to produce the power required to drive the ball the maximum distance. Strength, endurance, balance and co-ordination of the muscles also rapidly decline.
While both medical experts and golf pros agree that the standard golf swing is hard on the back, the good news is that the game can be played by adjusting the swing to compensate for a less flexible back. The ‘S Swing’ is a way of hitting the ball with maximum power using a shorter back swing. Without doubt the shorter back swing will allow older golfers to continue  playing golf with as much power and punch as they did earlier.
But, first determine the weak areas of your body. Do some regular strength and flexibility exercises to protect from possible injuries to the back, shoulders, wrists and elbows. The 5 exercises in the Tibetan Technique combine yoga, stretching and resistance to keep the body at its most flexible and are the ones we do ourselves.

Examine Your Skin for Cancer

Do you look at your skin? We’re not referring to checking for a new wrinkle! We mean a regular examination of your moles and blemishes to identify changes that may be taking place, and which would indicate the onset of some form of skin cancer!

According to a recent survey by the American Academy of Dermatology, this all-important check rates low on the priority list of the average person – 25% never examine their skin, while more than half have never been screened for skin cancer.

Liberal application of sunscreen is advised, to prevent the damage caused by exposure to the sun –  basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma - not to mention wrinkles and age spots. Despite the recent concerns raised by the formulations of some popular brands, sun screens must really be slathered on to be effective - and at least 20 minutes before exposure to the sun.

Another way of avoiding sun exposure is to dress correctly. A tank top exposes vulnerable skin area to the sun; a wet swim suit is less dense than a dry one, and allows the sun to filter through to the skin. A new theory suggests that the best fabrics for coverage are the tightly woven ones, such as denim and polyester, and that loosely-woven fabrics that breathe may not provide the best coverage from the sun. We’re passing this bit of news on, but can’t see ourselves abandoning our summer cottons for wool and polyester.

Of course the most easy to follow suggestion to protect the skin from sun exposure is the most simple one – stay out of the sun!
