Chuck Those Chips!

Posted by youngaga On May - 30 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Welcome to our Blog.

We try to provide tips for your good health, gleaned from the numerous
natural health publications we subscribe to. They are well established,
well respected newsletters.

This information was sourced from HSI.

Olestra, once known as “sucrose polyester”, is a fat substitute.
It is used to replace fats to create low-fat and fat-free products.

However, if you examine the information on a bag of chips you’ll
notice that the chips have been fortified with vitamins A, D, E and K.
That’s the good news (such as it is).
The bad news: Olestra has been shown to deplete the body of those
four vitamins, so the FDA requires manufacturers of olestra products
to provide the nutrients that the product removes!

The FDA insists on MANDATORY vitamin supplements for anyone
who eats the vitamin-robbing “savory snacks” (such as potato chips,
crackers and cheese puffs) that are made with Olestra.

Olestra can’t be metabolized in the gut, so it’s neither absorbed nor digested.
As it moves through the digestive tract, olestra binds fat-soluble molecules
(such as the four vitamins listed above) and blocks their absorption.

This is a quote from Dr. Walter Willett and Dr. Meir Stampfer of the
Harvard School of Public Health: “…there is strong reason to suspect that the
effects [of olestra] will include increases in cancer, heart disease, stroke, and blindness.”

So junk the junk food!

To your good health.

Tea reduces ovarian cancer risk

Posted by youngaga On May - 29 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Hello,

We picked up this useful information from Nutrition & Healing.

The Swedish Mammography Cohort study involving over 61,000
women between the ages of 40 and 76 found that tea appeared to
lower the risk of ovarian cancer.

The tea could be either black or green, and the more one drank,
the less the risk. One cup daily reduced the risk by 24%, 2 cups
reduced the risk by half, and each additional cup by 18%.

So enjoy your daily cuppa, ladies, knowing it’s good for you!

Do Not Pay for 411 Calls Ever Again!

Posted by youngaga On May - 29 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Welcome back!

Roshmi & I just had to pass on this tip so you
can save the odd dollar.

In USA, telephone companies are charging you $1
or more each time you call 411 to find a number.

Of course, they don’t tell you that you can get this
Information at no cost.

Well, you can!

When you need to use the 411 option, simply dial
1-800-FREE-411 (1-800-373-3411) and you won’t
be charged.

This works on home phones as well as cellphones.

The difference between your phone company’s 411
and FREE-411 ?
You’ll hear a brief advertisement before you’re
asked for your request.

A small price to pay, right?

To your good (financial) health.

Red, Red Wine …

Posted by youngaga On May - 26 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Hi,

Now, don’t burst into song but, here is some interesting
news for wine connoisseurs and those who enjoy gourmet food.
It was gleaned from a Nutrition & Healing article.

It has been known for some time that red wine, in
moderation, is good for heart health, offers protection
against lung cancer, and possesses anti-bacterial
properties.

A Canadian study concludes that it may also prevent and
reverse gum disease! This has been attributed to
polyphenols, which come from the seeds of the grapes used to
make the wine. Polyphenols can neutralize the tissue-
destroying free radicals responsible for the gum
inflammation that occurs in cases of periodontitis. The
polyphenols act as antioxidants and ease inflammation.

It’s nice to read some good news these days, isn’t it?

Another piece of good news is that if you substitute
toothsoap for your everyday toothpaste, you will see and
feel a huge difference in the health condition of your
mouth. It is made from all natural ingredients and, once you
experience the benefits, you will NEVER revert back to
toothpaste! Read about it at

Toothsoap Dis-count ends Sunday midnight

Posted by youngaga On May - 20 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Hello there,

Well, all good things come to an end, and the Toothsoap dis-
count of 10% ends on Sunday at midnight.

There has been an amazing response to this offer, and we
hope you took advantage of it too. If not, we urge you to do
so now, before it ends. A jar of Toothsoap usually lasts 3
months, so it is very economical.

We would like to quote some little-known facts about most
toothpastes, that are outlined in a booklet, “ The Perfect
Prescription for your Teeth”, that is also available with
the Toothsoap.

“I have talked to many people who have said they do
everything their dentists tell them to, and they still have
cavities, gum pockets, and sensitive teeth.

Part of the problem here is toothpaste. Toothpaste, even the
natural type, is contaminating your teeth and damaging your
gums. All toothpastes, natural or otherwise, contain high
amounts of glycerin, which coats the teeth. This sticky
glycerin coating prevents your teeth from being able to “re-
enamelize” from nutrients in your diet. Every time you brush
your teeth with toothpaste you are applying a coating of
glycerin that takes over twenty washes to remove. Don’t
believe me? Then try this test. Start with a clean sink and
smear some of your toothpaste on the sink. Rinse it off and
watch how the water beads up because of the sticky glycerin.
You’ll have to keep rinsing and rinsing to remove it. Your
teeth are similar to the porcelain sink, and your teeth are
being coated every time you use toothpaste.”

Here is a glowing testimonial that was sent to Dr Chet Day:

“I just got back from my 6-month checkup at the dentist (and
I mean I just walked in the door). Here are my results:

NO PLAQUE! My hygienist couldn’t believe it. I got out of
the office 20 minutes earlier than normal because she didn’t
have to scrape anything.

Sensitivity is completely reversed in all but one tooth.
This one tooth has been sensitive for over 6 years. She
couldn’t even touch it without my flinching. Today, she was
able to use the polisher on it for the first time since I
can remember. It hurt a little, but it was NOTHING like it
used to be. And the sensitivity in my other teeth is gone.
And by the way, my hygienist confirmed that they have seen
tooth decay heal in some teeth. They just didn’t know why
some teeth heal and many others don’t heal. So they usually
recommend drilling the tooth decay before it gets worse.
Since everyone is talking about how long the jar of Tooth
Soap will last, I’d thought that I’d put my two cents in
because I’ve been using it for about 4-1/2 months… I
figure it’s going to last me another 2 months or so.

This is great stuff. Please let everyone know”. R.D

Don’t miss this opportunity to stock up at the dis-counted
price, if you are a regular user, or to join the thousands
who are happily using Toothsoap. You will dazzle your
friends and family with a beautiful smile, and gain a healthy
mouth and gums in a very short time. You will probably also
save money because of reduced dental bills!

Go to the site
http://www.youngagainforever.com/tooth-soap.htm and place
your order before midnight Sunday.

Quiz - Periodontal (Gum) Disease

Posted by youngaga On May - 16 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Good day.

Persistent swollen, red or bleeding gums, tooth sensitivity, and bad breath are warning signs of Periodontal disease.

Periodontal disease is more serious than most people realize.

It not only affects your gums, and eventually causes your teeth to loosen and fall out, but has been linked to causing heart disease as well.

Complete this short quiz:

 Do you ever have pain in your mouth?
 Do your gums ever bleed when you brush your teeth or when you eat hard food?
 Have you noticed any spaces developing between your teeth?
 Do your gums ever feel swollen or tender?
 Have you noticed that your gums are receding (pulling back from your teeth) or your teeth appear longer than before?
 Do you have persistent bad breath?
 Have you noticed pus between your teeth and gums?
 Have you noticed any change in the way your teeth fit together when you bite?
 Do you ever develop sores in your mouth?

If you answer in the affirmative to any of the above questions, do see a periodontist immediately.

And, for fast and effective alleviation of this condition, use what thousands of others are using, and praising to the skies!

Feng shui & Food Link

Posted by youngaga On May - 15 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Hi there,

We all have to eat in order to stay alive – and some of us actually enjoy eating!
Well, here are some useful excerpts from an article by Jakob Jelling. It explains how to get the most benefit, and nourishment, by using Feng shui to plan your menu. Visit his site at www.fengshuicrazy.com

Feng shui is an ancient and wise approach to the way our environment affects us. The way we feel and the way we act is affected in a great amount by the environment which surrounds us. Therefore, by learning how to properly organize what surrounds us, we can improve our lives, and that is what feng shui is about.

“Feng shui, the food we eat and ourselves are interrelated and influence each other. Chi and our life balance are highly influenced by food, starting on how it was harvested and produced, going through how we cook it and the environment and mood in which we eat it.

Chi or positive energy flows in food as well as in everything else, and its quality depends a lot on the way we cook it.

Feng shui recommends that a dish should contain different colors which are in harmony with each other. You should try to use as many different colors as possible in one same dish at the same time as they should combine and look good together.

You should also achieve a yin and yan balance in your food which is done through the balance of flavors. A feng shui and yin yan harmonic dish would contain strong flavors as well as delicate ones balanced through the use of different colors.

You should like the smell of your food and it should be appealing to you. Every sense which is part of the eating process should be paid attention to and in balance with the dish as a unity.”

Now that you know how to balance your menu, here is our website on weight control, if you want some information: http://www.youngagainforever.com/weight_loss.html

Are You a Leader or a Sheep? (Sorry to ask)

Posted by youngaga On May - 14 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Hello, and a pleasant weekend to you!

Here is an excerpt from a message that I received from Mike Brescia.

He is actually making a point that people allow themselves to be
influenced by ads for stuff that is actually bad for them. It’s known as the herd instinct.

He uses sports and energy drinks as an example.

“Seems that sports and energy drinks rot teeth even
worse than colas. With all the acids in them, it’s no
surprise.
The excuse from millïons of sports drink drinkers, who are
also the smokers, the alcoholics, the heart and cancer
patients and the people who take happy pills because life
is too much to bear unaltered is, “Hey, everything is bad
for you, so I’m going to do what feels good. Life is
short. Hey, all things in moderation.”

Truth is, sports drinks probably aren’t going to kïll you
right away.
And the teeth they rot can be patched or replaced through
the miracles of modern dentistry, at quite a cost, of course.
But rotten teeth are not the really bad news…

The worst part of not heading the advice of this and
thousands of studies like it is that it creates a destiny.

A destiny of excuses.

A life of being controlled by fun and exciting
advertisements designed to separate you from your money.

A lifetime of sheep-like behavior where you do what the
rest of the followers, not leaders, do.”

I’m sure you see his point of view.

Now, here is some really GOOD advice for you regarding your teeth and gums.
You see, toothpaste is not necessarily good for your mouth. But something else is,
and thousands of people are now using it with amazing results.

Wrinkle-Free Clothing is NOT Smart

Posted by youngaga On May - 13 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Welcome,

Sorry to take the convenience out of your life, but we recently read an article in Sixwise that details how wrinkle-free, and some other synthetic fabrics, are treated with toxic chemicals to achieve this property!

These same chemicals are used in non-stick Teflon pans (PFC’s). The US Environmental Protection Agency warns that cancer-causing compounds are released when Teflon is heated. So, there is concern that these carcinogens can be inhaled or absorbed by the body when such clothing is worn.

So, we urge you to avoid clothing or articles of polyester, nylon or acrylic. Also, avoid articles that are labeled static-resistant, wrinkle-resistant, permanent-press, no-iron, or stain-proof.

As you are aware by now, Roshmi & I advocate natural health. So it’s only natural that we advise you to choose clothing made of natural cotton, linen, wool, silk, and hemp.

Exercise Stops Mental Decline

Posted by youngaga On May - 11 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Hello,

We were reading an article by Ainsley Laing MSc and it confirmed what we had always believed – that exercise can ward off age related mental decline, which starts after age 30!

A study reported in the journal Nature in 1999 that previously sedentary people over the age of 60 significantly improved their mental processing ability when they began walking vigorously for 45 minutes a day for just 3 days a week.

Another study, sponsored by the National Institute on Aging, part of the United States National Institute of Health, focused on well educated adults aged 55 to 79 by taking brain scans (MRI) of participants. The researchers noticed that participants who exercised more than 30 minutes per day had the most benefit.

Whatever your age, it is beneficial to exercise daily. It will do you good, and you’ll feel good after it.

We recommend Tibetan yoga. You will look younger and feel younger. A daily session literally takes just minutes. Learn more about it at

Enjoyably Ease yourself into Sleep

Posted by youngaga On May - 10 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Hi & Welcome,

We read an interesting article on sleep by Mary Maddux.
If you, or a family member, have trouble falling asleep, this will definitely help.
Here is the gist of it.

Whatever the reason, sleep deprivation can be helped.
Some persistent sleep problems may indicate an underlying health condition, so do have a check-up with your doctor.

Relaxing at Bed time:
• Create a relaxing bedtime routine. Wind down as you prepare for bed. Put on some soft music.
• Keep your bedroom cool, quiet, and dark.
• Drink a cup of relaxing tea.
• Massage your feet, especially with warm oil, right before bed - it’s very relaxing.
• Stretch out some of the “kinks” and tension of the day.
• Once you are in bed, listen to a sleep CD to help you “shift gears” and relax into sleep. (See Roshmi’s recommendation on hypnosis below)

Life Style Habits to promote Sleep:
• Unless impossible, go to bed at about the same time each night.
• Make your bedroom a sanctuary. Make sure your bed is comfortable.
• Keep the bedroom for relaxing activities and sleep, not work.
• Start to unwind early in the evening, long before you go to bed. Fill your evening with relaxing activities.
• Give up habits of perfectionism and worry. The “to do” list is never done.

Mary’s advice is excellent, and you should try to incorporate her tips into your routine.

Another very powerful method to easily induce a restful nights sleep is hypnosis. You can visit sleephypnosis for more information.

Improve Night Vision Naturally

Posted by youngaga On May - 9 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Hello, and welcome to our Blog where we give you useful health-related information, gleaned from various uptodate sources.

Are you afflicted with night blindness?

People who have night vision problems can be helped, according to a study in the British Journal of Nutrition.

As with most of our information provided to you, the remedy is natural.

The sixty people in the research study suffered from mild to moderate myopia. This can cause decreased night vision, among other eye related ill-effects.

They were given 100 mg of bilberry extract for four weeks or a placebo.

The bilberry contained 85 percent of the potent antioxidant anthocyanosides, which can help repair tissue and strengthen blood vessels.

Significant improvement in night vision, and the other eye ailments, occurred in those given the bilberry extract. No such improvement occurred with the placebo takers.

Other studies have shown that bilberries may prevent cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, and the eye damage associated with diabetes, called diabetic retinopathy.

A proven method of restoring good eyesight if yours is beginning to fail is to invest in the Vision for Life program. Invaluable as it is, we are offering a $10 bonus discount during the Month of May. Read about it at http://www.youngagainforever.com/better_vision_naturally.htm

$10 rebate -Vision Loss and Aging

Posted by youngaga On May - 7 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Hi,

We don’t know what your age is, nor can we see if you are
squinting while you read this! But, as you know, with the
advancing years, many needlessly experience deteriorating
vision.

This is as inevitable as the sun rising in the morning. You
can’t stop aging, but you can prevent the negative (and
sometimes downright cruel!) effects that it causes.

When you age, the internal components of your eye become
stiff and rigid, losing their flexibility. These components
are responsible for focusing the images that enter your eye.

Because they become stiff and rigid, they cannot fully focus
as they did when you were younger. Suddenly everything
within an arm’s length becomes blurry and you’re rewarded
with your first pair of reading glasses.

The bad news is it only gets worse with time!

The good news is you can do something to prevent it and
improve upon it.

What would you do if the muscles in your legs became so
stiff that you couldn’t walk or run?

You would stretch them of course!

The same principle applies to the components inside your
eye. All they need is to regain the flexibility they once
had.

This is easily achieved through specially designed optical
exercises that are actually pretty fun and very easy to do!

It takes about 30 minutes of easy, relaxing eye movements,
and the results are rapid and quite amazing! Just read the
testimonials by clicking the link on our website
http://www.youngagainforever.com/better_vision_naturally.htm

And, here is an added bonus – when you invest in the course
during May, you will get a $10 reduction off the already
discounted price! Just type in our bonus code youngagain,
and $10 will be deducted from the price with our
compliments.

Visit

and the beautiful Spring month of May will soon be over.

Hot Stuff!

Posted by youngaga On May - 2 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Hello there,

Pleased to see you have returned for another dose of healthy info.

Here are some interesting facts from Nutrition & Healing newsletter on cayenne peppers. Not everyone is partial to them (Roshmi & I LOVE them!) because they are fiery hot on the palate, but cayenne peppers are very good for you.

Their active ingredient is capsaicin and they are renowned for their anti-inflammatory properties.

The hot spice is used medicinally for such disorders as osteoarthritis, diabetic neuropathy, cluster headaches, dyspepsia, and psoriasis. It has been used for toothaches, nasal and sinus congestion, and as a liniment for sprains. It may also improve cardiovascular health by lowering blood cholesterol and triglycerides and by increasing the body’s ability to prevent blood clots. Some even see it as a natural weight loss aid because it raises the body’s temperature and increases oxygen consumption, thereby consuming calories.

So, the next time you visit your favourite curry restaurant, sprinkle some cayenne on your food. If you have a delicate palate, keep some milk handy. Water heightens the burning sensation!

And, after you have enjoyed your meal, pamper your gums, teeth and entire mouth with healthy toothsoap. Read about it at
